INTRODUCTION
Retinal Vascular Disorders refers to a variety of eye diseases that affect the blood vessels in the eye. This condition is connected to existing blood vessel diseases, such as high blood pressure and atherosclerosis (thickening of the artery walls). The most common Retinal Vessel Disorders are: • Hypertensive Retinopathy • Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO) • Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (CRAO) • Diabetic Retinopathy (See Diabetic Retinopathy) High blood pressure (hypertension) causes the eye's blood vessels to narrow, leak and harden over time. time due to excessive and sustained pressure against the vessel walls. In some cases, this can cause the optic nerve to swell and cause vision problems.
