Refractive Cataract

SERVICE TEAM

INTRODUCTION

Cataracts are wrinkles in the eye lens (clouding of the lens of the eye), which causes a person's vision to become blurry, even to the point of not seeing. This is because the incoming light cannot reach the retina, due to being blocked by a cloudy lens. The eye lens is anatomically located at the front of the eye just above the pupil of the eye. Cataracts in the elderly occur due to the senit process that causes decreased visual acuity. The prevalence of cataracts increases with age, more than 50% of people over 55 years of age and more than 70% of people over 70 years of age suffer from clouding of the eye lens (cataracts. The cataractous lens is surgically extracted. Prior to surgery, the patient will undergo local or topical anesthesia plus pain medication and sometimes require sedation for anxious patients Modern microsurgical procedure ultrasound (sound waves) delivered through a small probe to crush and aspirate cataracts with vacuum energy Intraocular lens is placed in its anatomical location so that it is possible for the patient to only wear thin glasses after the surgery.Although with current cataract surgery technology, cataract surgery procedures only require a short time and do not need to be treated.
