INTRODUCTION

Eye infections can be caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi, or parasites. The infection can affect all parts of the eye, from the eyelids to the lens. Infections of the eye can cause red eyes with decreased or absent vision. In decreased vision, infection occurs in the refractive media of the eye, such as the cornea and lens. Meanwhile, in normal vision, infection occurs in the structures around the eye. Immunology is a broad branch of biomedical science which includes the study of all aspects of the immune system in all organisms related to the physiological function of the immune system in health and disease, malfunctions of the immune system in immunological disorders (autoimmune diseases, hypersensitivity, immune deficiency, transplant rejection). , chemical, physical and physiological characteristics of components of the immune system in vitro, in situ, and in vivo. As with the immune response that occurs in other organs, the eye also provides both humoral and cellular immune responses. The eye is a continuation of the central nervous system while the conjunctiva is a continuation of the connective tissue. The eye is a unique part of the body that can provide a marker of the direct active immune process. The eye has a protective mechanism that is non-immune and immune naturally
